It has come up repeatedly at trade shows and events that carpet is recognised as a large contributor to the problems surrounding recycling and sustainability. CRUK aims to work with and encourage the textile flooring sector to adopt more environmentally friendly practices in their product to allow for easier recycling at the end of life. But there is always more that can be done.
CRUK was approached by Elite Events to participate in forthcoming trade shows to help raise the profile and visibility of its members achievements and product developments within the industry. They will be taking part in two forthcoming events in East London.
- Sustainable Design Summit, 28th November 2023, London Museum of Docklands https://sustainabledesignsummit.com/
- Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe, 29th – 30th November 2023, London Excel https://cruiseshipinteriors-europe.com/
This should provide some excellent networking opportunities and exposure to the leading interior design procurement teams keen to embrace sustainability in their sector by using more sustainable carpet and textile flooring products and having access to better treatment and disposal of redundant cruise ship flooring.
It will also deliver insight into interior design across the cruise line sector in Europe and showcase new products from the sectors leading suppliers.
CRUK members have been invited to attend the Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe Show at the London ExCel Centre for free: register for your complimentary pass
