Welcome our new board members
We are pleased to announce the appointment of eight new members to our Board, further strengthening UKSFA’s leadership as we continue to champion sustainability across the flooring sector. Meet our new Board.
The new Board brings together an exceptional breadth of expertise from across the UK flooring supply chain, reflecting the diversity, knowledge and collaborative spirit of the industry. Their appointments come at an important time as we continue to advance its strategic priorities around industry engagement, flooring takeback schemes and the implementation of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).
Our new Board members include, Kate Burnett(Milliken), Jennifer Bishop(MJ’s Event Services), Ranae Anderson (Universal Fibers), Darlene Sammut (Matoha), Simon Westley (Designer Contracts), John Gibbs (Highdown Carpets), Linda Thomas (SMG Flooring Group), Inga Morris-Blincoe (Headlam) and Tony Spreckley (Envirocycle).
They join existing Board members Andy Hall (Anglo Recycling), Richard Catt (Contract Flooring Association) and Mike Dobson (Retired from Headlam), who continue in their roles.
Together, the Board will provide strategic leadership to support UKSFA’s mission of creating a more sustainable, circular future for the flooring industry through collaboration, innovation and shared responsibility across the supply chain.

Our new Board will play a vital role in helping UKSFA lead these conversations, strengthen collaboration across the sector and ensure we continue to provide practical leadership for our members and the wider industry.”
The announcement also marks the retirement of Robert Barker from the UKSFA Board after more than a decade of distinguished service, having served since 2012.
Continued Cathie: “I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Robert Barker for his outstanding contribution to UKSFA over the past 14 years. His dedication, knowledge and unwavering support have helped shape the organisation into what it is today. While he is stepping down from the Board, we are delighted that he will remain part of the UKSFA community.”
In recognition of his exceptional contribution to the organisation and the wider flooring industry, Robert was presented with the UKSFA Award for Outstanding Commitment and Contribution at the recent UKSFA Awards (July 2026). His leadership, experience and commitment have been instrumental in supporting the Alliance’s growth and sustainability ambitions over the past 14 years.
