Designing beautiful carpets for a sustainable future
We exist to design beautiful carpets for a sustainable future. By continuously rethinking the ways of production and pioneering the art of creative design, we believe in making sustainability a beautiful choice.

It all started in 1938 with the entrepreneurial spirit of our founder, who envisioned and realized novel carpet creations by weaving the traditions of arts into the crafts of industrial quality. From a virtue of persistency, he believed that if you keep at it, and work hard, anything is possible.

Sustainability

Our long-term sustainable ambition is to create the world’s most sustainable carpets. It is a big challenge with an industry-changing potential.

The building industry is responsible for 40% of the world’s CO2 emissions and floors are part of the problem. Only 1-3% of all carpets are recycled.  We want to lead the change in sustainability performance and innovation within our industry.

There’s a great potential to significantly improve the environment by thinking and acting differently. At Ege Carpets we’ve already come a long way. It’s an ongoing process where we continuously set up new goals and initiatives to get closer in fulfilling our long-term ambition. By 2030, we aim at reaching the below stated sustainability goals.

As a UKSFA member we pledge to continuously improve sustainability within our business.

We will do this by:

  • setting and achieving sustainability targets leading to a circular economy
  • complying with all relevant legislation
  • educating and encouraging others to do the same to reduce waste,
  • improve energy efficiency
  • build a sustainable supply chain.

we will commit to making strategic decisions to improve eco-design, re-use and recyclability of materials and all members will commit to contributing to UKSFA projects wherever possible.
