Adnan Zeb-Khan will be attending the forthcoming Reuse Annual conference in Manchester on Tuesday 10 October at The Midland Hotel to discuss the collaboration between reuse network members and Carpet Recycling UK’s network. CRUK believe it is essential to promote reuse and engage more in this sector. A section of CRUKs annual conference was dedicated to a session on this from talks presented by Claire Donovan, End of Furniture Poverty who spoke about the increasing demand and importance and need for flooring to be provided to low-income families, and Richard Shea from the Salvation Army who demonstrated the work that are doing with housing associations on reuse and some of our carpet tile manufacturers talking about a collaboration partnership they have formed with our reuse member Uplyfted.
It is becoming increasingly important to reduce landfill and reuse carpet. The majority of carpet reuse is catered towards social housing, and this is something Carpet Recycling fully endorses. Adnan is looking forward to being able to discuss this and any other pertinent issues in person at the conference.
