Our Waste Prevention Implementation Fund is currently offering grants to small and medium-sized businesses with ideas to reduce their waste, especially plastic waste. Happily, the more resource efficient you are, the more cost-effective you’re likely to be. So whatever your idea, we want to hear about it. We want to help you make it happen if we can.

Get brainstorming with staff and colleagues, get some thoughts together, and get yourself over to our dedicated Waste Prevention Implementation Fund page.

You owe it to your business, and the world you live in, to be the best you can be.

You might be looking at a new process or piece of equipment, replacing an object or widget, developing new software, or re-designing a piece of machinery. It might be a big change, or small. It might be a simple idea or something sophisticated. The important thing is to make it real, like other businesses have done.

Less plastic packaging waste for food retailer.

Reclaiming worn sports pitches saves landfill.

The purchase of a pioneering machine from the US allowed a designer and builder of synthetic sports pitches to recover old pitch material for reuse and recycling, preventing tonnes of waste going to landfill.

Better raw material use means less waste.
