This speech was delivered by Juliette Enser, Executive Director for Competition Enforcement at the Competition and Markets Authority in London on the 5th of December.
This interesting speech looks at what is on the horizon for UK competition enforcement as we approach the 25th anniversary of the Competition Act 1998. The following quote reinforces the value of how our membership can work together collaboratively and safely under the CRUK (soon to be UK Sustainable Flooring Association) banner to drive innovation, change behaviours and solve issues around reuse and recycling of flooring.
“”we also recognise that, in some circumstances, collaboration between competitors can be beneficial. For example, when firms work together, they may be able to bring new products to market more swiftly and at a lower cost than when they work in isolation. As such, it is important that the competition regime, and the way we enforce it, does not get in the way of pro-competitive, efficiency enhancing collaboration”.
