The CRUK annual conference in June attracted key industry figures from around the world who alongside leading sector figures in the UK gave engaging and educational presentations throughout the event. Gaining critical insight into their global sustainability achievements and innovations was particularly insightful as was the CRUK focus on changing domestic policy and legislation and preparing for the future.
Carpet Recycling UK are already planning the 2024 event and welcome feedback or suggestions from members as to the shape and content of the conference. We will keep you informed of developments but keep a lookout for dates.
We received a lot of valuable feedback from attendees. Joe Eccleston of Innovate Recycle commented “There’s a feeling that the industry is coming together to move towards more landfill diversion, the recycling effort and circularity while looking at the impacts of ESG, EPR and EPDs. Now the hard work starts!”
Adrian Finn of MJ’s Event Services Ltd noted that the “well-run event covered a great deal of the issues faced by the industry, with a good mix of commercial and scientific input.”
