Can you decode the alphabet soup?
UKSFA Conference – new speaker announcements
‘Turning Insight into Action – Collaboration for Change’
1–2 July 2026 | Voco St John’s Hotel, Solihull
Open to members and non-members
The flooring and construction products sectors are facing a wave of new acronyms, regulations and requirements. From LCAs and EPDs to Digital Product Passports (DPPs), understanding what they mean, and what action is needed now, has never been more important.
So, we’re delighted to welcome two more expert speakers to the UKSFA Conference & Awards 2026 – Su Butcher, Director of Just Practising and co-founder of the Manufacturers’ Information HUB, and Trish Massey, Head of Digital & Technical Standards at BEAMA.
Joining Steve Marr of the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPi), they will take part in what promises to be one of the most engaging and interactive sessions of Day One – 13:30 – Standards and Specifics: Making Sense of the Alphabet Soup (LCA, EPD, DPP).
This thought-provoking panel discussion will explore the legislation, standards and industry changes shaping the future of construction products, while debating the actions businesses need to take today to be ready for tomorrow.
Delegates are encouraged to bring their questions and join the conversation as our expert panel cuts through the complexity and shares practical insights on navigating the road ahead.
Su Butcher is one of the construction sector’s leading advocates for digitisation and collaboration. Named Digital Construction Champion of the Year 2023, she has been campaigning for improved information management across the industry since the 2017 Grenfell tragedy. Alongside running her consultancy, Just Practising, Su supports and co-founded the Manufacturers’ Information Hub (The MIH), a not-for-profit initiative established by manufacturers to simplify access to construction product information across Europe, where she serves as Communications Lead.
With more than 33 years of experience in the electrical industry, Trish Massey brings extensive expertise in technical standards, digital transformation and industry collaboration. As Head of Digital & Technical Standards at BEAMA, she plays a leading role in standards development at UK, European and international level. Trish is also a NIMA Ambassador and Information Management Initiative (IMI) Task Group member, helping to drive practical digital approaches to information management, standards and regulation across the built environment.
Together with Steve Marr, the panel will tackle some of the key issues facing the industry today, offering practical insights, expert perspectives and plenty of opportunities for audience participation.
This is set to be a thought-provoking discussion and one we’re particularly looking forward to. Delegates are encouraged to come prepared with questions and get involved in the conversation.
