Carpet Recycling UK is currently conducting its Textile Waste Diversion Survey to understand the various end destinations and volumes for the different streams of textile flooring waste arising in the UK.
We are collecting tonnages for the year 2020 for reuse, recycling and energy from waste applications of all textile flooring waste, including post-manufacture and post-consumer broadloom carpet and carpet tiles as well as rugs and underlay. It is planned for the results to be shared in the Spring/Summer of 2022.
We rely on the information provided by our network, including companies who are producing or handling textile flooring waste and those who are processing it for the outlets. Please help us to verify figures and avoid double counting by sharing your tonnage information confidentially.
We are including a verification process via the independent consultancy Oakdene Hollins, as per the previous survey in 2019 to find textile flooring tonnage which is handled outside our network.
Please do help us in providing accurate information and please note, that all information is handled in strict confidence, where no company is named, or any commercially sensitive data shared, and the data and information is used to provide an overall picture for the UK.
If you haven’t been approached for information and feel you could help, please let us know.
Thank you in advance of your support in developing an accurate picture of where textile flooring wastes went in 2020.
